    Description

    The construction inspection group (CIG) involvement in funded projects begins once the construction contract is awarded. The primary roles of the CIG include participation in the preconstruction conference, conducting periodic inspections, and reviewing change orders. The purposes of the CIG activities are to assure that the overall loan/grant objectives are met, to ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications, and to advise and offer assistance to the loan/grant recpient.
